Background
Trestle Collaborative builds tech capacity for progressive electoral and grassroots social justice organizations. Right now we are focused on rapid response projects to address the crises and fast-moving rollercoaster of this stage in the election cycle.
Uptime 2024 — Trestle’s critical election readiness program — shores up tech for the 2024 election by strengthening security, reliability, efficiency, accessibility, and user-experience of the most widely used election tools so that organizations can do what they do best: get out the vote and protect democracy. With hundreds of thousands of volunteers getting out the vote this cycle, Trestle is making sure the tools they use maximize their ability to identify, engage and activate voters.
Trestle has powered the work of 60+ organizing, campaign and social change organizations, including the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights, Reproductive Equity Now, Texas Civil Rights Project, and Vote.org.
Trestle’s supporters include the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, Schmidt Futures, Zinc Collective & Civic (Re)Solve.

About Trestle
Trestle Collaborative is a nonprofit creating a future where technology amplifies people-powered movements for democracy, equity and justice.
Since our start in 2021, Trestle has provided over $1.2 million in free tech services through our community of over 110+ mission-driven technologists who provide hands-on guidance to organizers working on the most critical high-impact issues.
Trestle is the only organization of its kind. We are the first and only group to attempt to bridge the lack of tech talent in the progressive space with a paid talent model & focus on recruiting and retaining more diverse senior technologists to the movement — that means more Black, Brown, Indigenous, women & non-binary, LGTBQ+, religious and ability-diverse tech leaders.
A women and POC-led team, Trestle has partnered with over 60 movement organizations, progressive tech orgs, campaigns & committees, and funders, including Movement Voter Project, the Sunrise Movement, Peoples’ Action, If/When/How, The Movement Cooperative, Reproductive Equity Now, Power the Polls, BallotReady, Vote.org and the Lawyers Committee on Civil and Human Rights.
